QF Tax links your till to KRA's eTIMS. Each sale becomes an electronically signed tax invoice without anyone typing it into a second system — and the till keeps selling when the internet drops, filing everything as soon as it is back.

Sales are kept on the device when the connection drops and filed when it returns. These builds sign in to qftax.quantumfountains.com. Linux has an installer and Android a test build; the Windows setup is next. There is no iPhone app yet.
For Debian and Ubuntu tills. Comes with everything it needs to run — no separate Java install.

Not yet availableRing the sale up in QF Tax, or keep your current point-of-sale system — QF Tax can pick up the receipts it prints and file them for you.
Each invoice goes to eTIMS through a licensed integrator. If KRA or the internet is slow, it waits safely in the queue; the customer in front of you never does.
The receipt prints straight away, and its QR code shows KRA's signature as soon as it arrives. The invoice number, QR and VAT breakdown are KRA's own, saved exactly as returned.
The sale you ring up is the invoice KRA receives. No copying totals into the KRA portal at the end of the day.
When the line drops, sales queue on the till and file on their own when it is back. You can see exactly what is still waiting.
If KRA's reply goes missing, QF Tax asks KRA whether the invoice arrived before trying again — so nothing is declared twice.
Enter the price the customer pays, as on the shelf. KRA works out the tax; QF Tax never calculates a tax figure of its own.
A signed invoice cannot be changed — corrections go through a credit note — and every request to KRA, with KRA's reply, is kept.
Each business is sealed off in the database itself. If our support team ever opens your account, it is logged under their name, and you can read that log.
The web app is live here: items, invoices, credit notes, receipts and the filing queue, filing with KRA through a licensed eTIMS integrator. The till app has a Linux installer and an Android test build, and the Windows setup is next. When something is not ready, this page says so.
QF Tax is made by Quantum Fountains, a software company in Nairobi. We build and run the systems businesses rely on — ERP, HR and payroll, M-Pesa payments, tax compliance and mobile apps.
